#6 - Când ești căzut în tristețe amară

Strofa 1 1. Cand esti cazut, in tristete amara, (When you are cast down in bitter sorrow,) Si suferintele cresc necontenit, (And your sufferings keep growing,) /: Ai vrea sa stii cand scapi de povara, (/: You long to know when you will be free of the burden,) De tot ce te-apasa cumplit... :/ (Of everything that weighs so terribly upon you. :/)

Strofa 2 2. Sa nu disperi, in durerea cea mare: (Do not despair in your great pain:) Isus Hristos este nadejdea ta! (Jesus Christ is your hope!) /: Nu dispera, caci El este salvare, (/: Do not despair, for He is salvation;) Dreptatea Lui te va salva! :/ (His righteousness will save you! :/)

Strofa 3 3. Sa nu te-nspaimanti cand luntrea-i lovita (Do not be frightened when your little boat is struck) Si cand, disperat, privesti catre val! (And you gaze desperately at the waves!) /: Nadejdea ta, cand esti in incercare, (/: Your hope, when you are being tried,) E Domnul si-al dragostei har... :/ (Is the Lord and the grace of love. :/)

Strofa 4 4. Sa nu mai crezi ca esti dat uitarii (Do not believe that you have been forgotten) Si ca Isus te lasa disperat! (Or that Jesus leaves you in despair!) /: El e prezent, in ceasul incercarii, (/: He is present in the hour of trial,) Si nu ai sa fii alungat... :/ (And you will not be turned away. :/)

Strofa 5 5. Iar daca ai fost tu tinta sagetii, (And if you have been the arrow’s target,) In calea ta, doar spini ti s-au pus, (If only thorns have been set upon your path,) /: Chiar daca-i amar gustul vietii, (/: Even if life tastes bitter,) Tu vino, cu el la Isus!... :/ (Bring that bitterness to Jesus! :/)

Strofa 6 6. Tu fii credincios, pe-a ta carare: (Be faithful upon your path:) Nu mai e mult si El va veni! (It will not be long before He comes!) /: Nu-ti va fi lupta doar lacrimi amare (/: Your struggle will not be only bitter tears,) Si cerul tau doar otelit... :/ (Nor your sky only hardened steel. :/)

Strofa 7 7. Fii drept pe cale si intareste-ti pasii, (Walk uprightly and strengthen your steps,) Pe calea iubirii, sa inaintezi! (Go forward on the path of love!) /: Apleaca-ti genunchii si inima, frate, (/: Bend your knees and your heart, brother,) Si-n Domnul Isus sa te-ncrezi!... :/ (And trust in the Lord Jesus! :/)
