Strofa 1 1. Când vom intra pe-a tale porți de aur, (When we enter through your golden gates,) Ierusalime, loc iubit și sfânt, (Jerusalem, beloved and holy place,) /: Tot cerul fi-va plin de osanale, (/: All heaven will be filled with hosannas) Spre slava Celui pururi drag și sfânt. :/ (To the glory of the One forever dear and holy. :/)

Strofa 2 2. Uimiți de-atâta sfântă măreție, (Amazed by such holy majesty,) Scăpați de lutul ce ne-a frământat, (Freed from the earthly clay that troubled us,) /: În veci de veci, cânta-vom numai Ție (/: Forever and ever we shall sing only to You) Și sângelui ce ne-a răscumpărat. :/ (And to the blood that redeemed us. :/)

Strofa 3 3. Cu ochii-n lacrimi de bucurie sfântă, (With eyes full of tears of holy joy,) Scăldaţi în raza Soarelui dorit, (Bathed in the light of the Sun we longed for,) /: Nesăturaţi de faţa Ta cea blândă, (/: Never having enough of Your gentle face,) Îți vom cânta, pe veci, căci ne-ai iubit. :/ (We shall sing to You forever, for You loved us. :/)

Strofa 4 4. Pe străzi de aur ca sticla străvezie, (On streets of gold, transparent as glass,) Cu toţi cei dragi și scumpi ce i-am iubit, (With all the dear and precious ones we loved,) /: Cânta-vom veșnic slavă numai Ție, (/: We shall forever sing glory only to You,) De dragostea cu care ne-ai iubit. :/ (For the love with which You loved us. :/)

Strofa 5 5. Ierusalime, vei auzi cântarea, (Jerusalem, you will hear the song) Ce îngerii n-o știu și n-au cântat, (That angels do not know and have never sung,) /: Atunci, în ziua când va fi serbarea (/: On that day when the celebration comes) Poporului pe veci răscumpărat. :/ (Of the people redeemed forever. :/)

Strofa 6 6. Când întristarea din inimi va fi ștearsă, (When sorrow is wiped from every heart) Și fericirea veșnică va fi, (And happiness will be eternal,) /: Dorita noastră, scumpa noastră casă, (/: Our longed-for, precious home,) Ierusalime, când te vom zări? :/ (Jerusalem, when shall we behold you? :/)
