Strofa 1 Doamne, păstorul turmei Tale, (Lord, Shepherd of Your flock,) Cel ce-a Ta împărăție (You who build Your kingdom) O zidești cu mărire mare, (With great glory,) Iată noi ne rugăm Ție. (Behold, we pray to You.) În turma Ta pe noi condu-ne, (Lead us into Your flock,) Dă-ne viață, fii cu noi, (Give us life, be with us,) Ca să trăim viață sfântă, (So that we may live a holy life) Ca ale Tale blânde oi. (As Your gentle sheep.)

Strofa 2 Zacem aici ca oase goale, (We lie here like bare bones;) În noi viața Tu poți da; (You can put life in us.) Suntem ca pietre necioplite, (We are like uncut stones;) Ia-ne pe noi în mâna Ta. (Take us into Your hand.) Să fim lucrați, gătiți prin Tine, (Let us be shaped and prepared by You) Și așezați acolo sus, (And placed up there,) În templul Domnului, pe care (In the temple of the Lord) Tu îl clădești, Doamne Isus. (That You are building, Lord Jesus.)
